Invited International Artist
Call for Entries

Each year, the Great Gulfcoast Arts Festival invites an international artist to visit Pensacola, Florida, and exhibit at the festival. Artists from any part of the world outside the United States are encouraged to apply. The invited international artist has become a centerpiece of the festival.

The invited artist will typically arrive the Sunday before the festival and depart on the Tuesday after the festival (11 days). This allows time to visit area schools, to give a workshop in the community, and to attend parties leading up to the festival. We provide a budget that covers lodging, some meals, and a travel allowance.

The festival is held outdoors. A 10 x 10-foot (≈ 3 x 3 meter) tent is provided to exhibit and sell your work. You are asked to attend the entire festival and demonstrate the techniques of your work. We do not take a commission of sales.

Festival volunteers will make you welcome, show you around Pensacola, and are available to help staff the exhibit.

This program is a wonderful opportunity for an artist to visit Pensacola, explore our beautiful beaches, and share customs from their country.

It’s also an opportunity to show your work to thousands of people (and potential buyers) from the United States.

The Great Gulfcoast Arts Festival is one of the most highly regarded and popular arts festivals in the United States. Thousands of visitors enjoy this three-day, juried art show, which comes to Pensacola’s historic Seville Square beginning the first Friday in November. In addition to the one Invited International Artist, the festival draws more than 200 of the nation’s best artists working in various mediums. There is also live music, performance, and a variety of food.
