The Suzi Perry
Arts Scholarship Fund

In 1995, the Great Gulfcoast Arts Festival lost a relentless advocate and community spirit who helped change the festival from a small, locally run event into a world class show which draws artists from all over the world.

In her honor, the Suzi Beane Perry Scholarship was established to recognize promising students in visual arts, performing arts, and communication arts, attending Pensacola Junior College and the University of West Florida. Suzi’s vision and her life touched many people; her tireless spirit will never be forgotten and will live on through the recipients of this scholarship.

Since its inception, $35,400 has been awarded to deserving students. The 2009 winners were:

University of West Florida

  • Robin Stine
  • Hana Frenette
  • Lyla Conrad
  • Gail Bowling
  • Georgia Adams
  • Kelly Milligan

Pensacola Junior College

  • Christopher Wigent
  • Kristiana Todorova
  • Takuye Nightfeather
  • Johnny Michael Hunter
  • Michelle Lee Dycus
  • Vance Thomas White

In addition to the scholarship funds provided  by GGAF, we want to thank Vicki Baroco, Pensacola Photo Supply, Wendys/Wendco, Deborah Dunlap Historic Pensacola Photographs, and Tony and Bonita Jacobs for their generous donations
