Invited International Artist 2025

Shinya Ishida comes from Wakayama, Japan. 2025 is the 30^th anniversary of Florida and Wakayama becoming Sister States and it's so exciting that GGAF can help celebrate this special connection!

Shinya uses found objects for his work, including driftwood, beach debris, discarded items, etc. He brings new life to discarded materials that might otherwise be considered trash and challenges his audience to find appreciation for lost or broken things.

Graduated from the Department of Textiles, Faculty of Arts, Osaka Seikei University.
