IOLA, WIS. – Sunshine Artist magazine, has announced the release of its 2024 200 Best, ranking the most profitable art and craft festivals in the country based on artists’ reported sales in 2023.
Congratulations to Great Gulfcoast Arts Festival whose Great Gulfcoast Arts Festival (Pensacola, FL) ranked No. 18 in the Fine Art & Design category.
Launched in 1993, Sunshine Artist’s 200 Best is split into two categories: Fine Art & Design for events that focus on unique, fine-art pieces and Classic & Contemporary Craft for events that focus on traditional or modern craft and production work. Artists were able to cast their votes from February through April for the 200 Best shows list. They could list up to 10 shows they attended in 2023.
The 2024 Festival poster is by Michael Meissner, an esteemed artist who has captured the essence of landscapes and wildlife through his captivating works of art.

This year’s invited artist is Aurelio Jose Diaz Trillo, also known by his artistic name "Buly". He strives to create an inner world relatable to everyone, influenced by cubism, the Andalusian artist has depicted, characters, houses, landscapes ..., and life in a nutshell, being able to do so with his inalienable style.
Pensacola artist Joyce Leggett has been selected as the 2024 Great Gulfcoast Arts Festival Emerging Artist. She uses oil or acrylic paint to create visual backdrops.
Congratulations to the 2023 Children's Poster Contest winner, Avalyn Tran. Avalyn is a student of Art Teacher Richie Hughes at NB Cook Elementary School. This year's theme was Free Time Fun.
