The Great Gulfcoast Arts Festival (GGAF) sponsors a design competition to select the official GGAF poster each year. The winning artist receives a $1,500 cash award. Creative artists are encouraged to submit their designs. Entries should be appropriate for replication on posters, T-shirts and other GGAF promotional items.
The competition is open to artists 18 years old and older. A separate poster contest for children is administered through local schools. Ask your school’s art teacher for more information.
Each submission must be an original design that has not been previously reproduced.

Submission will be a two-step process. For the first step, all designs must be submitted digitally. For step-two, the finalists must submit original artwork.
Step-one submission dates: April 22 to June 15, 2025.
Step-two deadline: July 11.
Submissions should be thematically related to the arts festival. The selected design will be reproduced on posters, T-shirts and other GGAF promotional items that are a major source of support for the festival. As such, judging criteria will include viability of sales potential. Artwork fitting standard frame sizes such as 14” x 24” or 24” x 36” is preferred.
The “Great Gulfcoast Arts Festival” name, place and date are not required in the image but will be added, please allow space for inclusion.
GGAF, Inc. will reproduce the winning poster for sale during the festival. Only a limited number of signed copies of the poster are available for sale each year. The artist will be required to sign each poster prior to the festival.
Festival posters have become a regional collector’s item.
